RACHEL DAVIS, LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST

Rachel Davis, LAc. MTCM, FABORM is a licensed acupuncturist, specializing in fertility, women’s health, and mood disorders. She graduated from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in 2007. In 2009, she moved to Nashville to work under Green Hills Natural Health’s previous owner, Steve Blumenthal. In 2016, Rachel acquired the practice and has since maintained its reputation for excellent and compassionate care.

As a self-identified “women’s health nerd,” Rachel is committed to always evolving in her profession. Her postgraduate studies have focused on women’s health including a certification in the Arvigo techniques of Mayan Abdominal Massage. In 2010, Rachel earned her Fellowship with the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (FABORM). In 2020, Rachel completed a certification in 5 Element Functional Medicine, an innovative approach combining functional endocrinology with Chinese medical theory.

For Rachel, helping couple struggling to conceive resonates deeply with her life’s purpose. She believes our bodies possess an innate wisdom to heal, and our minds have the capacity to give meaning and depth to the challenges we encounter. Rachel grew up hearing about her own mother and grandmother’s struggle with infertility. It wasn’t until her parents adopted her brother that they finally conceived her. Because of her family history, Rachel feels a profound connection to her work and her patients.

Although she was born in Baton Rouge, Rachel spent her early childhood years moving every few years for her father’s career. When she was eight years old, her family moved to Saudi Arabia. Living abroad allowed her family to enjoy plenty of international travel. This early exposure to different cultures impacted Rachel and her worldview. When she was 13, Rachel’s family settled in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Rachel was introduced to acupuncture while a college student at UNC-Chapel Hill. Having struggled with chronic allergies and respiratory infections since childhood, she sought out acupuncture and herbal medicine for relief. She was stunned by the results. Not only did acupuncture cure her allergies, she found it also eased the stress and anxiety she experienced as a college student. In 2001, Rachel graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a major in Communication Studies as well as having completed a premed curriculum. Given her curiosity for other cultures and fascination with the human body, Rachel decided to pursue a career in Chinese Medicine. Before starting acupuncture school, Rachel assisted in a large acupuncture practice in Asheville, North Carolina. She saw many other patients experience the miraculous results she had and knew she had find found her calling.

At home, Rachel is perpetually nesting. She loves to garden, bake, and is always looking for new nutritious recipes to try out on her husband and two children. An avid reader, you can also frequently find Rachel curled up on the couch with a mystery novel or perhaps even delving into a book on Chinese Medicine. However, her all-time favorite activity is going for long walks with her beloved corgi, Frodo.

Natalie Willits, LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST

Natalie Willits, M.S., LAc. FABORM, is a licensed Acupuncturist and East Asian Medicine practitioner specializing in fertility, pre/postnatal care, and Women’s health.

She graduated from Bastyr University with a Masters of Science degree in East Asian Medicine studies, and completed extensive post-graduate training in the field of holistic Reproductive Health. Natalie is a fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Natalie grew up on a small island in the Pacific Northwest and worked as an acupuncturist in Seattle, WA before moving cross country to Nashville, TN. While working in Seattle, Natalie received the Seattle Met Top Doc Award in 2019, 2020, and 2021, putting her on a list with the most prestigious physicians and healthcare providers of the region.

Natalie was introduced to Chinese Medicine at a young age when she was often sick and missing school. Wanting to find solutions after Western medicine had come up with none, her parents turned to their acupuncturist, who’s treatments, herbal medicine, and nutritional guidance brought Natalie back to a healthy state. This made a huge impact on Natalie as a child, and not only showed her the power of Chinese Medicine, but gave her confidence in the body’s ability to heal.

Growing up Natalie also loved children, which had her mothers-helping, babysitting, and, eventually, nannying. Working with families in their own homes opened her eyes to the intimacies of childbearing and rearing – from struggling to conceive and miscarrying, to new pregnancies and the realities of parenting. Natalie saw it all firsthand and helped where she could, but knew she wanted to work with families on a deeper level.

Fast forward to now, and Natalie’s inherent fascination with the body paired with her love for children and their families has evolved into her role as a fertility and pre/postnatal acupuncturist. Natalie’s mission is to offer support, guidance, and holistic healing to individuals and partners as they maneuver the paths to conception, pregnancy, and parenting. She knows the vulnerability in trying to create a family, but she also knows the amazing ways the body can heal itself and create life. Whether an individual or couple are trying through natural conception or ART (including IUI, IVF, and donor), Natalie loves using Chinese Medicine to help them achieve this goal.

Outside of the clinic, Natalie spends her time exploring Nashville and the state of Tennessee with her husband and rescue dog, Kenny. She also loves staying up to date on current reproductive technologies, and is constantly taking continuing education courses on how Chinese Medicine and Western Reproductive medicine can be used in conjunction with one another.
